Chronology of cameras Bencini

Far from the shape and originality of the aluminum Comet models, Bencini presents here a compact camera of small dimensions (width similar to a Minox 35) that appears modern and well-crafted at first glance. A small surprise is the presence of two shutter release sockets on the front, with one dedicated to B (Bulb) mode.

Since the shutter speed is fixed at 1/50th of a second, the operator needs to adjust the aperture between f/2.8 and f/22 by rotating a ring around the lens. Guidance for this adjustment is provided by the illumination of two red and green LEDs near the viewfinder. The CdS meter, conventionally positioned above the lens, operates within a range of 50 to 400 ISO and requires power from two batteries located in the base.

Manual focusing, without assistance, is achieved by rotating the front ring of the 38mm Karinar lens.
